I have been serving the membership at Piney Branch since February 2020. I grew up in Sykesville, played for Stevenson's golf team right out of high school, and then transferred to Towson, where I finished in 2017. Prior to being at Piney Branch, I worked as an instructor for Golf Made Simple Golf Schools in Palm Desert, CA, and before that I was the Assistant Pro at The Club at Cress Creek, in Shepherdstown, WV.
I am currently in the PGA Associate program, meaning I'm currently going through coursework towards becoming a full PGA Professional. Off the golf course, I am a huge sports nerd. I love watching and playing sports, especially basketball. During the winter months, I help coach a middle school basketball team for Chapelgate Christian Academy in Marriottsville, where I graduated high school.

I am a 2018 graduate of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore where I earned my Bachelors of Science in PGA Golf Management. There, I was able to strengthen my skills as a player and teacher while deepening my love for the sport. I am able to provide quick and accurate swing analysis and tips that will build any player’s skill and confidence levels to ensure the satisfaction of the game.
I’ve served as the Head Golf Professional at National Golf Club in Fort Washington, MD. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I returned to Forest Park Golf Course, where I had previously worked, as the Assistant Golf Professional until December of 2021. At the start of 2022, I briefly transitioned into the food and restaurant industry as a chef at The Tillery in Owings Mills, MD.
Presently, I’m your Assistant Golf Professional at Piney Branch Golf Club. I’m excited for what’s to come at this club!
I began working in the Golf Business at age 13 and then attended the 1st PGM (Professional Golf Management) Golf program at Ferris State College, now Ferris State University, in 1977. I graduated in 1981 and have continued my education process by teaching and attending many seminars.
I worked with Bill Strausbaugh Jr. at Columbia Country Club for 8 years where I was exposed to many great players and teachers. I enjoy giving all types of lessons, including group lessons, clinics for juniors, ladies, beginners, advanced players, and individual and playing lessons. My enthusiasm for this great game has not diminished over the years. We would love to help you enjoy this great game so please give us a call.
